York City Officer Ritchie Page Blymier's wife says she was assaulted, police witnessed her scratches, swelling and redness, and hospital xray tests show her right shoulder and wrist are sprained. Officer Blymier is charged with simple assault and harassment, out of jail, and on administrative leavee with pay. His wife was given a 1st temporary protective order. She says she filed for divorce May 1st and since then things have been escalating and that she's scared. “Ritchie is very controlling, he is an officer, has access to weapons and has about 8 cameras inside and outside of our home watching everything we do." She asked for a protection order that would require Blymier to relinquish his weapons and ammo but it sounds like Common Pleas Judge Kathleen J. Prendergast approved a temporary order prohibiting him to post about his wife online or use any surveilance devices to track her. May 31st is when the final protective hearing happens.
